دخل رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز على خط الجدل المثار حول نجم برشلونة الشاب لامين يامال، بعد الهجوم الحاد الذي شنّه وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس على اللاعب، بسبب رفعه علم فلسطين خلال احتفالات برشلونة بالتتويج بلقب الدوري الإسباني.
وقال سانشيز في تدوينة عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس» إن من يعتبر رفع علم دولة ما «تحريضاً على الكراهية» إما أنه «فقد صوابه أو أعمت الفضيحة بصيرته»، مؤكداً أن يامال عبّر فقط عن تضامنه مع فلسطين، وهو شعور -بحسب وصفه- يتقاسمه ملايين الإسبان.
وأضاف رئيس الوزراء الإسباني أن موقف اللاعب يمثل «سبباً إضافياً للفخر» بالنسبة له.

وكان وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس قد وجّه انتقادات حادة للاعب برشلونة الشاب، معتبراً أن رفعه العلم الفلسطيني خلال الاحتفالات يمثل «إثارة للعداء ضد إسرائيل وتحريضاً على الكراهية».
وقال كاتس إن على لامين يامال أن يسأل نفسه إن كان ما فعله «إنسانياً أو أخلاقياً»، مؤكداً أنه لن يلتزم الصمت أمام ما وصفه بـ«التحريض ضد إسرائيل والشعب اليهودي».

وجاءت الواقعة عقب تتويج برشلونة رسمياً بلقب الدوري الإسباني، بعد فوزه على غريمه ريال مدريد في الكلاسيكو الذي أُقيم على ملعب كامب نو بهدفين دون مقابل، وسط احتفالات واسعة من لاعبي الفريق وجماهيره.
The Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has entered the fray over the controversy surrounding young Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, following the sharp attack launched by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz against the player for raising the Palestinian flag during Barcelona's celebrations for winning the La Liga title.
Sánchez stated in a post on his account on the platform "X" that anyone who considers raising the flag of a state as "incitement to hatred" has either "lost their mind or has been blinded by their own disgrace," affirming that Yamal merely expressed his solidarity with Palestine, a sentiment that - according to him - is shared by millions of Spaniards.
The Spanish Prime Minister added that the player's stance represents "an additional reason for pride" for him.
Israeli Attack on Barcelona Star
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz had sharply criticized the young Barcelona player, considering that raising the Palestinian flag during the celebrations represents "incitement against Israel and incitement to hatred."
Katz stated that Lamine Yamal should ask himself whether what he did was "humane or moral," emphasizing that he would not remain silent in the face of what he described as "incitement against Israel and the Jewish people."
Barcelona also called for distancing itself from such actions and to clarify explicitly that there is no place - in his words - "for incitement or support for terrorism."
Title Celebrations Ignite Controversy
The incident came after Barcelona was officially crowned La Liga champions, following their victory over rivals Real Madrid in the Clasico held at Camp Nou with a score of two goals to none, amidst widespread celebrations from the team's players and fans.
